Millie Corretjer is Oscar De La Hoya's Wife
Millie Corretjer is Oscar De La Hoya's wife. She is a 34-year-old Puerto Rican pop singer and married the boxing middleweight in 2001 after dating him less than two years. De La Hoya was considering a career extension into, of all things, music and met her through singing lessons with her former vocal coach.
De La Hoya was initially brusque with his wife-to-be, telling her, "My home is in California, my business is in California, my training camp is in California. It only make sense that we live in California." Corretjer simply replied, "Oscar, we’ll live in Puerto Rico", and now he spends 7 months a year there.

After De La Hoya saw Millie Corretjer perform in her music video of "De Hoy en Adelante", or "From Now On", he wanted her to model for his own video, and they began dating. His self-named CD was nominated for a Grammy when it was released in 2000. They were wed in a ceremony in San Juan. He has five children with four women. Two of them are with Corretjer: Oscar Gabriel in 2005 and Nina Lauren Nenitte in 2007.

When she was 15, Millie Corretjer was the host of a children's TV show, New Wave, that helped them develop their artistic abilities. From this experience, she began to hone her musical ambitions, releasing her first album "Sola", or "Alone", when she was 21. She was propelled to the top of the Billboard list immediately and went on to release three more albums.
Last night, De La Hoya was knocked out by Manny Pacquiao in eight rounds in a "Dream Match" at the MGM Grand. He had offered a suitcase with $250,000 in cash to persuade Pacquiao to sign a seven-fight contract last year, showing that money doesn't buy everything. Pacquiao returned the cash later after a legal scuffle.

Isani Griffith: Marilyn Manson's New Girlfriend (Photos)
Isani Griffith is Marilyn Manson's new girlfriend. She is a 24-year-old model who attended Santa Monica College from 2002 to 2006 before transferring to UCLA. She is majoring in philosophy, is a member of the juggler's club, and is in sorority Alpha Beta. Based on her MySpace profile, which has since been set to private, Isani is an animal lover, Obama supporter (her profile picture was once set to a painting of Obama with the word "hope" underneath), and environmentalist.
Musically, Isani Griffith's taste ranges from Muse to Beethoven, but Manson's name was absent among her interests. She is a fan of movies like "Pan's Labyrinth", "No Country for Old Men", and "Fight Club."
Manson introduced her last night with three portraits in his self-titled Miami art exhibit, "Marilyn Manson: Trismegistus", simply saying, "That's my special lady friend." His former special friend was Evan Rachel Wood, who released a statement of their amicable parting after rumors of his abusive behavior.
On that note, Marilyn Manson explained of his new relationship with Isani Griffith, "I really don't want to start the next chapter of my life by...burdening someone with being the solution to my problems -- or the source of my problems."

Warhead Bond Script Sold for $68K
Warhead has been sold for $68,000 at a Christie's auction. The screenplay would have starred Sean Connery as James Bond and was written by Connery with Bond director Kevin McClory and author Len Deighton. It would have featured a plan by SPECTRE to detonate a nuclear warhead under Wall Street using a robotic shark as the delivery system.
Due to legal wrangling over the rights to 007, Warhead was never made. It would have been filmed in 1977 with a $22 million budget and been one of the most ambitious Bond films. Connery would have needed to parachute onto a Statue of Liberty under attack by helicopters, fight robotic sharks in the sewers under the city, and ski on the Hudson River.
Joining Bond would have been regulars like Ernst Stavros Blofeld, Felix Leiter, Moneypenny, M, and Q. The Bond girls would have been Justine Lovesit and Fatima Blush, who would later feature in "Never Say Never Again."
The Warhead screenplay was only expected to go for less than $5,000.

Snipes Fights Tax Evasion with Terrorism Work
Wesley Snipes has a new argument for not going to jail for tax evasion: he helped fight terrorists. The 46-year-old actor, who's last major movie was in 2004 with "Blade: Trinity", lost a tax evasion trial in April and has been appealing ever since. He didn't file taxes and report his acting income for five years.
One key argument that Snipes is making is about his moral character in helping martial arts experts train flight crews to deal with terrorism after 9/11. In fact, he even claims to have "helped thwart the notorious 'shoe bomb' attack by terrorist Richard Reid."
Snipes is a trained martial artist with a fifth dan black belt in Shotokan Karate. He has had other tax-related issues. He has defaulted on thousands of dollars of back property taxes. If he loses the appeal, he faces a three year sentence. In the meantime, he has been busy filming movies like "Brooklyn's Finest" and "Chasing the Dragon."

Heath Ledger Apartment Rental Pulled
Heath Ledger's apartment in SoHo has been pulled from the rental market. The Corcoran Group had been trying to rent out the 4,400 sq. ft. loft at a stunning $26,000 a month since July. The late "Dark Knight" actor died of an overdose in the 3-bedroom apartment in January, which may be part of the reason for the lack of tenant interest besides the cooling economic climate.
Ledger's loft is located at 419 Broome Street. It has 2.5 baths, 15 ft. ceilings, and an 80 sq. ft. balcony. As for the view, there are North, South, and East exposures through sound-insulated landmark windows. For private access, there's even an oversized key-locked elevator. The only thing the loft lacks is a doorman.
Darren Kearns was the agent in charge of renting out the property. The property is only "temporarily off the market."

Jonas Brothers Break Up?
The Jonas Brothers are reportedly breaking up. Eldest brother Kevin Jonas is said to want to migrate to more mature music and at work on a solo album. He apparently "wants adult fans, and he wants to sing adult music. He loves his brothers but he definitely wants his solo career and won't be part of the group forever."
The news of a Jonas Brothers split, of course, comes just as they have been nominated for the Best New Artist category for the Grammys. However, dousing the rumors, a Jonas Brothers representative says that a break up is "not true at all."

Bratz Ban, Taken Off Market
Bratz are being taken off the market. The popular line of fashion dolls has been found to infringe on Mattel's Barbie dolls and will be removed from store shelves after Christmas. In 2001, MGA Entertainment launched their new brand of dolls that were edgier and more stylish than the traditional Barbie and steadily eroded Mattel's doll market share. Dr. Phil compared them to hookers.
In the lawsuit, Carter Bryant, the creator of Bratz, was found to have come up with the idea for the dolls while working for Mattel. As a result, the manufacture of the more than 40 kinds of Bratz figures has been banned. The entire Bratz business has sold $3.1 billion in dolls in seven years. MGA will also need to pay $100 million in damages.
The signature look of Bratz dolls is a large head with thin body, almond-shaped eyes, and glossy lips.
However, even if Bratz are eliminated from the doll market, other competitors like Hannah Montana and High School Musical dolls are poised to displace Barbie as the preeminent doll.

Kevin McKidd Cast as Thor
Kevin McKidd is in negotiations to star as "Thor." The 35-year-old actor who is best known for his roles on "Rome" and recently "Grey's Anatomy" is interested in portraying the Norse deity in the Marvel film due to be released on June 4, 2010. "Thor" is part of Marvel's attempt to take its comic book franchise to theaters with the success this year of "Iron Man" and "The Incredible Hulk."
"Thor" will be joined by "Iron Man 2" in 2010 with a "Captain America" and "Avengers" ensemble film to follow in 2011. Kenneth Branagh will be the movie's director.
Daniel Craig was apparently asked to play Thor, but the James Bond actor turned the role down.

Kerri Walsh Pregnant
Kerri Walsh is pregnant. The 30-year-old Olympic beach volleyball player made the announcement on "Access Hollywood." She and husband Casey Jennings apparently conceived the baby in the middle of the Beijing Olympics since she is 16.5 weeks pregnant. Commenting on how much her body has changed, she said:
I'm used to living my life in a bikini and I'm definitely not bikini-ready. I think the chubbiness is all relative, but it's for the very best cause in the whole world, and I'm proud of it. I'm just going to stay off the beach for a while, how about that?
At the Athens Olympics in 2004, Kerri Walsh and her partner Misty May-Treanor won their first gold medal. They repeated the feat this summer, defending their title against the Chinese team. She started playing volleyball in high school and continued when she attended Stanford University, becoming a co-National Player of the Year in 1999. She met Jennings in 2000.
Casey Jennings is also a beach volleyball player and has been married once before to Hillary Clark. She married Walsh in 2005.

Samantha Geimer is at the center of the new documentary "Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired." In 1977, the 13-year-old girl took part in a photo shoot for "Vogue" magazine with the Oscar-winning director, and he slept with her after giving her champagne and a sedative tablet. The resulting trial saw him fleeing to France in 1978.
Now living in Hawaii, Samantha Geimer, formerly known as Samantha Gailey, has three children. She forgave Polanski in 1997 and considers his 30 years in exile as sufficient punishment.
Most recently, Polanski's lawyers have called for his remaining charges to be dropped after revelations in the recent documentary of "a pattern of misconduct and improper communications" on the part of the district attorney's office. For their part, the Los Angeles DA's spokeswoman ironically said, "We're looking forward to seeing Mr Polanski in Los Angeles to litigate it."

Brittany Flickinger: Paris Hilton's New BFF Winner
Brittany Flickinger is Paris Hilton's new best friend. The 24-year-old lead singer of a Las Vegas rock band beat out 17 other contestants to win "Paris Hilton's My New BFF." Her MySpace says that she is a runway and fashion model in addition to a music artist. She is friends with fellow contestant Natasha Komis, Zui Suicide, and Kayley Gable among others.
Perhaps in defense of her decision to star on Hilton's reality show, Flickinger quotes a passage from the Book of Matthew on hypocrisy: "Do not judge, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgment you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get." For the non-religious, she quotes Bob Marley: "Who are you to judge the life I live? I know I'm not perfect, and I don't live to be. But before you start pointing fingers, make sure your hands are clean."
Paris Hilton announced Flickinger's selection on the show, saying, "I hope you'll join me for our life together Because you're my new BFF. Are you ready for a crazy life?" But she should enjoy the spotlight while she can since she will soon be joined by another BFF when the upcoming British version of the series ends.

Tina Fey Vanity Fair Cover
Tina Fey appears on the cover of Vanity Fair in January 2009. The "SNL" and "30 Rock" star, who went from Weekend Update anchor to stardom as the perfect Sarah Palin imitator, answers questions ranging from her 7-year marriage to Jeff Richmond to her least favorite body part.
On her feet, Tina Fey said, "I don't like my feet. I'm not crazy about anybody's feet. But I have flat feet." Her 30 Rock counterpart, Liz Lemon, also hates her feet and sleeps in her socks. Also revealed is Fey's scar on her left cheek, a remnant from a knife attack by a stranger when she was five.
On strippers, Fey is adamantly opposed: "I love to play strippers and to imitate them. I love using that idea for comedy, but the idea of actually going there? I feel like we all need to be better than that. That industry needs to die, by all of us being a little bit better than that."
On her early days in Chicago, Fey says, "I'm five four and a half, and I think I was maxing out at just short of 150 pounds, which isn't so big. But when you move to New York from Chicago, you feel really big. Because everyone is pulled together, small, and Asian. Everyone's Asian."

Chinese Peasant Builds Robot Dog (Video)
Wu Yulu builds robots in his spare time. The Chinese peasant farmer, who lives an hour outside of Beijing, has built creations ranging from a robotic rickshaw to a Sony AIBO-like robot dog without any formal education. He was invited to the Microwave International New Media Arts Festival in Hong Kong based on his fame as an robot inventor.
Starting in 1986, Wu Yulu has continued to experiment and tinker with robots, growing his crop to 26 robots in total. He uses scrap metal and parts to build mechanical robots. His most striking robot is a mechanical human-shaped robot that can pull a rickshaw for six hours and speak with moving red lips. He also built a miniature version for his son. Watch the video to see the rickshaw in action.
Despite his success today, Wu's path was not easy. He once burned down his house while working on a project. His wife complains that other husbands make money, but he only builds robots.

Midnight Sun: Twilight Sequel Leaked (Download)
Midnight Sun is the fifth book in the Twilight saga. The story focuses on the events of Twilight from the perspective of Edward, the lead vampire in the blockbuster film and novels. Although scheduled for release next in the series, the premature leak of the first 12 chapters online caused author Stephanie Meyer to shelve it for at least two years. Meyer did not name names as to who leaked the partial manuscript, but it's known that actor Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward, and Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke have read it.
On Midnight Sun, Meyer comments, "I'd rather my fans not read this version of Midnight Sun. It was only an incomplete draft; the writing is messy and flawed and full of mistakes." However, she decided to put the first 264 pages online to put a stop to fan speculation.
