Download Tab Mix Plus for Firefox 3
If you just upgraded to Firefox 3 as your web browser, you might have noticed that Tab Mix Plus is no longer working. And if try to force the add-on to work, the handy tabbed browsing extension still doesn't work. So if you can't live (or browse) without Tab Mix Plus, then make sure to download the development build of the extension, which works perfectly with Firefox 3 (you wish).
Personally, I prefer working with my tabs in a multi-row format so I can click on the tab I want without scrolling. But I found that changing the setting in Tab Mix Plus to switch to multi-row format didn't work at first. To change the display settings when tabs don't fit, you would normally open the options menu for Tab Mix Plus and select "Multi-row" under Display->Tab Bar.
The workaround that worked for me is to manually change the settings by navigating to "about:config" in the Firefox location bar. There, you will want to locate the "extensions.tabmix.tabBarMode" preference. To switch to multi-row mode, double-click on the preference and type in "2" in the field (even if the preference is already set to "2").
