Yahoo News Message Boards Close: Trolls Migrate to New Home

Regular Yahoo News readers probably didn't notice that the Yahoo News message boards have been shut down. The free-for-all nature of the boards apparently attracted much trolling , so Yahoo is going to roll out some new features to contain the mayhem. As the aspiring king of social media, Yahoo can certainly take some tips from the moderation features and community structure of a Digg or Slashdot. With Del.icio.us and Flickr already part of the Yahoo brand, might not a revitalized Yahoo News message board with a suitably Web 2.0 moniker be far behind?

So, where will the Yahoo trolls go now that their home has been foreclosed? I suspect Topix, which has a forum for every region, celebrity, general concept, news item, and more. More than enough room for trolls a million times over.
