fTube: A YouTube Player

Manish Jethani has coded an interesting YouTube player called fTube that allows you to play the most recent 25 videos on the YouTube homepage. You'll need Flash 9 to use it (it's browser-based). What's neat is that you can filter the videos based on name, author, length, and rating. It also looks really cool. fTube is a good example of how external developers can increase the functionality and improve user experience of a site.

One quirk is that multiple video windows can be open simultaneously so you could theoretically have 25 videos playing at the same time. The source is also available for anyone interested: right-click and choose View Source.
