Bethanie Mattek is following in the footsteps of such notables as Anna Kournikova and Ashley Harkleroad in using her sex appeal to make up for her tennis playing deficiencies. The 23-year-old tennis player has shocked the tennis world with her inventive, skimpy outfits while on the court. Her appearance at the 2004 U.S. Open in leopard print outfit introduced her outrageous fashion sensibilities, and her 2007 "Wonder Woman" gold outfit only deepened the impression.

In fact, Bethanie Mattek was even fined for wearing a cowboy hat to a match. Despite the amount of media attention focused on her, the Miami native has yet to win the WTA Tour since her first showing in 1999 although she has won almost $900,000 in prize money.

Rankingwise, Bethanie Mattek is ranked 21 for doubles, but only 43 for singles. However, she wants everyone to pay attention to her playing more than her outfits from now on: "I really wanted my tennis to do more of the talking than my outfits since I've gotten so much publicity for that."
