Create Your Own Star Wars Video Mashup

In celebration of Star Wars' 30th anniversary, Lucasfilm will be letting fans mix-and-match scenes from all six movies to their heart's content. Fans will be able to edit each of the 250 sixty-second clips that will be made available on Starwars.com starting tomorrow.

The Eyespot video mixer will let you trim, add transitions or effects, and arrange videos using a simple drag-and-drop interface. After you're done, you can embed your mashup onto your blog, MySpace profile, or anywhere else you want.

What you can't do is ruin Star Wars' family-friendly image by including nudity or pornography. Screeners in Costa Rica will be watching each clip, but they won't stop you from editing Jar Jar all you want.

Eventually, pre-roll video ads will be run before each video mashup with Lucasfilm and Eyespot splitting the revenue.
