Free Textbooks at Freeload Press
Freeload Press is trying to make ads work for textbooks as they do for websites: make them free. We're talking about electronic textbooks that you can download in PDF format here. These ads are placed at natural break points in the text and must be "Academically Appropriate".
The selection of books is small at the moment. Textbooks like Accounting Principles: A Business Perspective and My SQL Basics are available in PDF format along with other books from the fields of mathematics, accounting, economics, and computing. There's also an option to get a cheap, black-and-white printed version of some textbooks.
If ads in textbooks don't deter you, another hassle might: you have to complete a survey every time you download a book. Still, free is free.
