What Fortune 500 Companies are Blogging

The Fortune 500 Business Blogging Wiki
is a directory of Fortune 500 companies that have business blogs, defined as: active public blogs by company employees about the company and/or its products.

According to our research, 40 (8%) of the Fortune 500 are blogging as of 10/05/06.

It looks like corporations aren't rushing to put a human face on their operations with only 40 companies blogging. Unsurprisingly, the bulk of the companies are technology-related, but there are some surprises: McDonald's has an Open for Discussion blog, General Mills has a baking blog, and Whole Foods had a CEO blog. Quite a few tech-savvy food companies then. Wal-Mart, of course, has a blog dedicated to presenting "facts" about itself.
