Google Now Offers Ping Service
Go here to manually ping Google whenever your blog gets updated. You can also set up your blog software like Windows Live Writer or w.bloggar to automatically ping Google whenever you publish by entering this URL as a ping server: http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2. There's also a help section if you need more information.
You can also spy on which blogs have pinged Google in the last 1 to 300 seconds by using this URL (currently set for 2 minutes): http://blogsearch.google.com/changes.xml?last=120 and modifying the last digits accordingly.
