Cynthia Scurtis Rodriguez has split from Alex Rodriguez. The now 34-year-old former psychology teacher at Gulliver Preparatory School married the 32-year-old baseball star in 2002 after five years of dating and had two children with him. But recently, C-Rod, as she's also known by, has been spotted entering Lenny Kravitz's apartment in Paris. The development isn't too shocking since A-Rod has a track record of straying. Last year, he was seen dining with Iowan stripper and Playboy model Joslyn Noel Morse, and fresh rumors abound of his late night visits to Madonna's New York apartment.
Surprisingly, Cynthia Scurtis Rodriguez remained with A-Rod after learning of his affair with Joslyn Morse in 2007 and even gave birth to a second daughter, Ella, in 2008. But that kind of forbearance may be about to end with sightings of Madonna with her two sons in tow attending Yankee baseball games, seated in A-Rod's personal seats. What's more, A-Rod has apparently been studying Kabbalah, the brand of religion that Madonna subscribes to. The 49-year-old pop singer's marriage is on shaky ground as well with news of divorce lawyer consultations.
While Cynthia Scurtis Rodriguez hasn't yet filed divorce papers, the contrast between the current state of their relationship and that recorded in her MySpace profile is stark: "As you all know, Alex is a very private person. He has managed to keep me and our relationship out of the limelight for the most part. I have to say, I am happy to be so well received by all of his fans. I’ve always told him, I’m his #1 fan. He may be your #13 but he’s my #1."
