Perpetual Motion Again

It seems like every six months a new perpetual motion claim hits the news. The only thing perpetual about it is the fact that the claims never end. This time an Irish company, Steorn, claims to have found a way to configure magnetic fields in some precise way to produce a motor that is more than 100% efficient (basically, producing free energy). We at Modern Day Alchemist are believers in the magic of science not medieval notions of transmuting lead into gold or perpetual motion machines.
