A Better, Faster PDF Reader than Adobe Acrobat

The PDF format is extremely popular among users who want to preserve file formatting and appearance when sharing documents, but the downside is that you're probably using Adobe Acrobat Reader so it takes an agonizingly long time to open and read them.

Many users like Foxit Reader because it opens PDF files much more quickly, but a better alternative to Acrobat may be the free PDF XChange Viewer.

PDF XChange Viewer gives you many of the features that you'll find in the paid version of Adobe Acrobat, including the ability to fill out form fields and then save your edited documents, highlight text, draw shapes, and add sticky notes. Of course, it also opens PDFs faster than Acrobat.

Just curious, how does it stack up against Foxit Reader?

Just downloaded it, gonna play with it this weekend :)

The features are very similar between Foxit and PDF XChange Viewer, but I think the user interface for PDF XChange is a little easier to use. There are fewer menu items so it's less cluttered.

They're very similar programs so it's just a matter of preference.

Thanks for the info - still haven't got the time to check it out.
