Maryline Blackburn was Miss Alaska 1984. The Fairbanks, Alaska, native beat Miss Wasilla, Sarah Palin, in the beauty pageant back when she was known as Sarah Heath. Instead of being bitter about coming in second place, the now vice-presidential candidate was cordial, writing on a congratulatory note on the back of a group photo, "I do love you. You're more admired than even you know. And please keep God Number One. He's got great things for you, baby. Love, Sarah Heath."
Besides this recollection of Palin's graciousness, Maryline Blackburn recalls, "She had this look about her, this look in her eyes that tells you she's calculating, figuring out 'How am I going to win this competition.' There was a determination there." Nevertheless and despite thinking that Palin was "gorgeous", she would win the title of Miss Alaska and become the state's first African-American representative to the Miss Alaska competition though she did not place in the nationwide contest.
Now, Maryline Blackburn lives in Smyrna, Georgia, a small city near Atlanta, where she has just recorded her fourth CD. She mixes pop, gospel, rock, and R&B in her music and has been on stage with Bob Hope and Peabo Bryson. She also supports Barack Obama.

Heidi Northcott: Jose Canseco's Girlfriend
Heidi Northcott is Jose Canseco's girlfriend. According to LinkedIn, she is a VP of business development for High Traffic Media, an online marketing company, and as a hobby, she also plays poker, coming in 18th place in Larry Flynt's Challenge Cup in January 2008. She graduated from USC. "Jose Canseco: The Last Shot", an A&E documentary chronicling the once-heralded baseball star, revealed Heidi as his girlfriend last tonight.
Jose Canseco's books, "Juiced" and "Vindicated", exposed the previously unsuspected scale of steroid use in professional baseball; his own abuse of steroids lasted more than two decades and carried lasting consequences. The documentary followed Canseco into a doctor's appointment where he admitted, "I have no sex drive whatsoever. Zero." Heidi Northcott was present beside him, accompanying him while he tried to cure his sterility caused by depressed testosterone levels from long-term steroid use.
Among Jose Canseco's regrets and woes, the foremost is naming players like Mark McGwire and Jason Giambi as steroid users in his tell-all book. Another blow was losing his Encino, California, house to foreclosure. This October, he was also arrested crossing the Mexican border with a fertility drug, HCG, which boosts testosterone levels. He has a history of domestic violence, which the half-Vietnamese, half-English Heidi Northcott is hopefully aware of.

Danielle Deleasa Kisses Kevin Jonas
Danielle Deleasa kissed Kevin Jonas yesterday. The girlfriend of the not-yet 21-year-old guitarist for the Jonas Brothers was a next door neighbor of his while they were growing up in Wyckoff, New Jersey. The couple have been dating for several months and were photographed kissing passionately while walking along the shore at Point Mugu, California.
However, the last thing that Danielle Deleasa has to worry about is a sex scandal with Kevin Jonas. The boy band trio of the Jonas Brothers are Evangelical Christians and have promoted a clean, family-friendly image, which netted them $12 million in 2007. Each brother wears a purity ring on his left-hand ring finger, which Kevin prominently displays in the photos, signaling his intention to stay abstinent until marriage. Still, he didn't pass up the opportunity to chronicle their public make-out session with a digital camera.
