Submit Your Site or Blog to MySpace News

MySpace has launched what some are calling a Digg-killer: MySpace News. The idea is simple: let users vote for stories that they like. Unlike Digg, however, you can't actually submit any stories.

TechCrunch's Michael Arrington uncovered some key points about the model:
  • MySpace news will aggregate news items from a number of trusted sources via their RSS feeds. This is an important point we'll come back to.
  • The news items will then be organized into 25 main categories and 300 sub-categories.
  • Users determine the ordering of news items by ranking each from 1-5.
If you'd like to get a head start on getting some MySpace News love, you can submit your site, blog, or RSS feed for consideration as a "trusted source". This is currently the only way to get your content listed on MySpace News.
