Open Directory Project Accepting Site Submissions Again

The Open Directory Project, the community-created alternative to Yahoo's website directory, is back in business again. Back in October, the servers hosting the ODP crashed at AOL operations, and through a series of unfortunate events, the site wasn't able to process new site submissions until now.

If you don't have a listing, the good news is that you can now submit your site or blog for inclusion into the ODP. If you've already submitted your site and you don't see it in the directory, the bad news is that old submissions that were still queuing were lost so you'll need to re-submit.

If you want to be near the front of the submissions line, I recommend you get started before more of the Internet community realizes what's going on.
