Thai Princess Launches Blog

Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn is apparently going to be writing a blog on the British Council website, which is devoted to helping people learn English. Other than this statement there isn't much else on there yet:

We have witnessed in this past century that English has become a global language without much understanding of the process. Nor can we say that we really know the extent of its influence and status as the global language. But, we can be sure of one thing: English can be used as a key to better understanding. As English is used and understood globally, we should be able to communicate, learn and understand each other better. Through English, then, we can make this world more knowledgeable and more understanding.

A more prolific royal "blogger" is former King Norodom Sihanouk of Cambodia. His site has a collection of videos, letters, and e-mails. You might need a grasp of French to read it though or use this Google translated version.
