Facebook Virus Koobface Loose
Facebook virus Koobface has gained a foothold into many accounts of the social network's users. First spotted in August, the program sends emails to a user's friends and asks them to check out a funny video on a site, using a grammatically incorrect subject line like "You look so amazing funny on our new video."
The site looks like YouTube, but asks you to download an update to the Flash Player to watch the video. This download contains the virus.
Koobface Removal
To deal with Koobface, the first thing to do is change your Facebook account's password so no more emails will be sent to your friends.
If you went to the YouTube clone and installed the fake update, then you will need to install an antivirus program like AVG and scan your computer for problems.
