Carla Bruni Sarkozy Nude Photo
Carla Bruni Sarkozy, the wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, is furious that a nude photograph taken during her modeling days is being auctioned off by Christie's. The 13 x 10 1/8 inch gelatin silver black and white photograph of the Italian-born Bruni Sarkozy was taken by photographer Michel Comte in 1993.
But it wasn't the only one. Comte says:
"I have many more nude pictures of Carla much more explicit than that one.
"But she need not worry as I would never put them on sale."
The 40-year-old former supermodel and current First Lady was one of the most successful models during the 90's. She met and married President Sarkozy just months after he divorced his former wife, but the French President's popularity has suffered at home because of his extravagant lifestyle.
Art collector Gert Elfering is using Christie's to auction off Carla Bruni Sarkozy's nude photo to the highest bidder on April 10 in New York. The photo is expected to fetch between $3000 and $4000.
