It's Joox, Not Joost: A New (Old) Way to Watch Movies Online
The confusingly named Joox is in the business of providing access to streaming video content like its similarly named "competitor", Joost. But that's where the similarity ends.
Whereas Joost cuts deals with the likes of Sony and Warner Bros. to license content, Joox asks users to upload movies and other videos to Stage6, the video sharing site set up by DiVX, Inc. Stage6 hasn't been as well-known for harboring illicit content like its rivals YouTube and Dailymotion, but that may be changing.
Movies, documentaries, anime, and TV shows are some of the content you will find listed on Joox. Uploads are screened for accuracy and content, but many video links on the site are broken. Helpfully, there's also an option to download videos from Stage6 for later viewing.
