Backup Your Blog with BlogBackupOnline

Blogs don't often get deleted accidentally, but accidents have been known to happen especially when you're depending on a third-party to safeguard your content. If you're living in fear of this happening one day, BlogBackupOnline will help you sleep better at night. You register a blog on the site, which works with most major blogging platforms like Blogger, WordPress, and Vox, and it'll start backing up your blog. Plus, it automatically updates the backup everyday.

This all sounds good in theory, but the implementation needs a little work. For some reason, only 15 pages of this blog were backed up even though I requested a full blog backup. I even repeated the full backup request with the same result. You'll want to carefully check the number of pages that BlogBackupOnline has indexed to the number of blog posts that you've written to make sure it's fully backed up your blog.

The service is free while in beta, but you're limited to 50 MB of storage. To be extra secure, you can also download an XML copy of all your blog posts to your computer.

  1. Thanks for trying out BlogBackupOnline.

Yes, we are still working out the kinks. We hit a problem with your blog - an issue with using Feeburner with Blogger - but we are working on getting this fixed. We'll definitly update you when its working.

If you ever make it to Rochester, NY (our home-base) let us know :)

    Regards,
    Aaron
