"This Page Requires Internet Explorer": What You Can Do

For the Firefox users, you've probably seen this dreaded message more times than you care:

The page you have requested requires Internet Explorer to function properly.

It's rather infuriating especially if you want to go to Windows Update to install new bug or security fixes. Luckily, you can do something about it.

One tool is the User Agent Switcher extension, which you can use to fool websites into thinking you're using Internet Explorer instead of Firefox. It adds a button that you can click to switch to a different user agent.

Another is the IE Tab extension, which you can use to open up a page in Internet Explorer from inside Firefox. Just right click on any link, and select "Open this Link in IE Tab". You can even run Windows Update from Firefox with this extension.
