Sock those Youtube Vids onto your iPod
Wired's Monkey Bites blog has a good post about Tubesock, a new program from a company called Stinkbot that copies videos from Youtube and transfers them to your video iPod, Mac, or PlayStation Portable. If you have an audio iPod, Tubesock will convert the audio portion only of the video. Here's how you do it:
1. Download and install Tubesock.
2. Get the Youtube URL from the bottom of any Youtube video.

3. Paste it into the text field in Tubesock, and click "Preview". If you like what you see, choose a format and click "Save".
4. The video will be automatically placed in your iTunes library, and you can do what you want with it.
Note: The app costs $15, and the demo only converts the first 30 seconds of the video. It also integrates into Safari or Firefox so you can quickly send the video you're watching to Tubesock for conversion.
